There are two things in the world that can define success in life: those who are hard workers, and those who depend on others to do their work for them. In the movie, “Rocky”, we can see first hand what a true warrior is all about, and one who is determined to give it his all, for just like KOBE BRYANT( 5x NBA champion,2008 MVP, 16x NBA all-star), Rocky Balboa had a heart of a champion and possessed a killer mentality in him.
Prior to his fight against Apollo Creed, as the obvious underdog in the matchup, he was still determined to give it his all and had his mind set on training his heart out. He had never worked a professional boxing match before, and he had only fought in minor match ups in local clubs. Despite all this, and even with the odds stacked against him, he still accepted the championship match against a trained and elite professional. Going into the match against Apollo Creed, no one expected him to be victorious and even Apollo expected to win in 2 or 3 rounds, and not to mention Rocky was physically smaller than his opponent.
Throughout the matchup, Rocky absorbed every blow and continued to fight back with his own. Both men fought with everything they had, but neither could knock each other out, therefore resulting in a judges’ decision at the end of the final round. Although Apollo retained his championship belt, it was Rocky and his thrive to succeed and and his killer instinct to never give up by any means necessary , that was impressive. He exceeded all expectations and did what no one else thought that he would do. He never gave up, he never backed down, he never lost faith.
